Elena Mary Harris

Elena Mary Harris is a Glasgow-based participatory artist with a multimedia practice. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, her practice is rooted in an advocacy approach to creative making and community development. Elena works with diverse communities to explore place, heritage, identity and lived experience, using a combination of analogue and digital techniques. Often working through an issue-based approach, previous projects have explored themes including climate change, mental health, migration, heritage and social inclusion. Her work includes artist residencies, workshop programmes and long-term installations developed collaboratively with communities and local organisations.
